I've never met a coal yard I didn't like!

More than a decade before my writing career began, I photographed this coal shed at Harriston, Ontario. It's on the CNR Owen Sound Subdivision, which I covered in Steam Over Palmerston. My good friend Mark Harris, to whom Steam at Washago is dedicated, is modelling this very town in HO scale. The date is December 22, 1986.
