Once you click the link, the download should begin automatically (if prompted, indicate to your browser that it is a “trusted” site). If it doesn’t pop up on your screen, check your downloads folder for it (and double-click on the file to open it).

To view the PDF properly—as if it were a book, to appreciate the spreads—navigate thus in the Adobe Acrobat menu:

View > Page Display

Under the Page Display sub-menu, make sure “Two-Up” and “Show Cover Page During Two-Up” are both checked.

Our prize winners from last week

Congratulations again to Bill Dewar, Jim Beverley and Chris Mawdsley. These pre-buyers of Speed Graphics and Steam 1958! vol. 1 won the signed artist’s print, the station kit, and the free pass to the press check (and lunch with the author) respectively.

Progress on the book

Speed Graphics and Steam 1958! vol. 1 is complete as far as the manuscript and layout are concerned. Jim Brown and I are now finalizing the pictures for the volume, making sure they are of optimal sharpness and contrast so they leap off the page!

I anticipate we will go to press by no later than the end of this month.
