In early September 2001, we released Steam Over Palmerston. This was the third 192-page hardcover in my original Steam series. Like Steam at Allandale and To Stratford Under Steam, the book narrative reconstructed Friday, June 25, 1954 in detail.
The CNR steam operations in and around Palmerston always appealed to me, as a modeller, because they were a microcosm of the greater North American railway network. Here was territory easy to represent in miniature—small engines, short trains, beautiful rural Ontario scenery, compact and picturesque stations.
The large print run of Steam Over Palmerston sold out in 2012, but this title is a candidate for eBook release in the future. I invite you to watch this short video trailer, which provides an overview for this third hardcover book I wrote:
