Update on reduced prices and quantities
Okay, this week the prices have dropped again on virtually every title, and the quantities have plummeted across the board. Many of these titles are now at the half price mark. Buy them now to be safe, or take your chances as time goes on!
The Canada Post general strike
Canada Post went on strike at one minute past midnight this past Friday. In terms of distributing books and calendars, this is now the situation:
Anything that was ordered up until Friday is in the system. It's not moving, but it is in Canada Post's hands, in a secure location. As soon as packages start moving again, it will be on its way to you.
Any new orders received, starting today, will be forwarded by either Purolator or UPS. If you are in Canada, a flat rate shipping will apply, so make sure you order at least $60 or $70 worth of books (because anything under that doesn't justify your outlay). If you are in the United States, your shipping charges remain roughly the same, so have at it, on any order, large or small.
The last copy of Steam Encounters in Ontario vol. 1 was sold a few hours after last Sunday's broadcast. Now, Steam Through Port Credit is redlining, with only eight copies left on the shelf and I expect they will be gone long before next Sunday. So if you want a copy of the last hardcover railway book I will ever write, it's yours if you move quick enough.
Ordering alternatives aside from PayPal
As usual, for any Canadian readers wishing to remit funds by Interact e-transfer, kindly use the weekly posted prices as a worksheet and contact me (by email) for a shipping quote. Then we’ll generate a total for monies owed (with GST) and you can remit the funds while I package your publications for shipment.
For those readers wishing to remit funds by cheque/check, kindly contact me by email, indicating the titles you wish to receive, and I will set them aside pending arrival of your payment in the mail.
This week’s prices and stocks remaining
These are the prices for all remaining publications, which are reduced from regular prices of the recent past. There will be six more price reductions, on a weekly basis, until Sunday, December 29, 2024. Below follows this week’s roster of prices and quantities remaining. Each of the publication titles is a clickable link, so for your convenience click on that link to go immediately to the page where you may place your order with a PayPal button:
